Cesar Pelli

Cesar Pelli, founder and a continuing principal at Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, has been a designing hand behind an extensive portfolio of lauded works that are collectively exemplary in their design yet not confined to a specific style.  The driving principals behind Pelli’s works have instead been actions to incorporate and reinterpret the client identity, the cultural setting, innovative contemporary design and the implementation of progressive environmentalism.  While Pelli’s architecture actively draws from its surroundings incorporating local building materials and styles, the reworking of these qualities in his architecture results in buildings that are very sculptural and unique edifices that are their own statement.

Pelli Clark Pelli is the recipient of more than 100 awards for design excellence, as well as the winner the AIA’s Firm Award in 1991.  Pelli earned the Gold Medal from the AIA in 1995 for a lifetime of distinguished works, which he continues to build on today.
